Today, Wednesday, 10/16/13, we saw a White-throated Sparrow and a Lewis's Woodpecker at Galileo(Silver Saddle Ranch) on the
      eastern Kern desert.
The White-throated Sparrow was seen foraging with a flock of Chipping Sparrows on the grass between the swimming pool and an
Oleander bush. It was seen closer to the pond.
There was not a lot of bird movement today. We saw one Western Tanager and a Townsend's Solitaire. There were two flocks of Chipping Sparrows, a small flock of Yellow-rumped Warblers(Audubon's), Dark-eyed Junco's with one being a "Slate-colored". There were many Northern Flicker's"Red-shafted".
A Badger was observed coming out of the Rosemary bushes that are near the Pavilion. It walked on to the parking lot.
