      It seems that spring has finally come to the mountains, at least here at
      lower levels. Migrants in the last couple of weeks include Anna's and
      Rufous Humminbirds, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Cassin's and Purple Finches,
      American Goldfinch, and today, Black-chinned Hummingbird and Bullock's
      Oriole. Thrashers are singing and the California Quail are pairing off.
      Now if only they would open some of the back roads...
