Perhaps one of his kin pushed him into the fire... I wonder if there is any resonance with Vant... Or, was there some even earlier ritual of bone fragments—the failed attempt to seal off the Riverland that involved bones and bonefires....

Jame wonders how the four came to be some three thousand years ago.

Regga became the earth wife when she dug her son's grave and he buried her in it. Apparently this happened near Hurlen in the heart of the woods.

The Tishooo was an old man who claimed to be a god and to prove it he was tossed off a high tower by his friends. His transformation seems to be in the far south, perhaps in Nekrien, connected with the witch king?

The Eaten One was a Merikit maiden who rejected her prospective husbands and when she tried to seduce the river snake and got eaten by the snake or a catfish.

So any ideas as what the Burnt Man's story could be? He was clearly a huntsman with a pack of hounds who was transformed by fire, and hunts kin killers. Was he hunting a kin killer at the time of his transformation? Or was he guilty of being a kin killer himself?
