The God Stalker Chronicles
- Did anyone else get a surprise Christmas present in the delivery of the new God Stalker
Chronicles book? I am thrilled to get it, and happy for Pat to be getting some new
publishing with (hopefully) a more supportive publisher, but ........
I was not all that thrilled with the cover illustration by Clyde Caldwell - the face is too old,
and the boobs are too big. But my DH said it looked fine to him, so.... perhaps it will sell
the book. It is just not a romance novel sort of book for this type of cover.
And I do not like the thinness of the pages. But then it is two books in one, so that could
account for the page quality issue. Mine warp a bit, but it is wonderful to have a NEW book
in my hands. Most of my copies are used ones.
I see also that a next book to be out is called Seeker's Bane, which I assume will be the re-
issue of Seeker's Mask and To Ride a Rathorn. So tell all your friends, etc. I'll have to put
in a review on Amazon, to get the Chronicles moving.
Congrats to all who made this come to fruition! And many continued thanks to Pat for
writing her books at all. She's been my favorite author forever, with Lois McMaster Bujold
a close 2nd. And I like the Damar books by Robin McKinley too.

- Thanks Damien for the great link to Robin McKinley's stuff. It sure seems like my favorite
writers are all slow! And I was struck that she is putting lots of her creative energy into her
blog, instead of into her books. But then, we all do what works for us. I am sorry that Robin
does not find Damar interesting anymore. That's what getting happily married does for you -
saps your creative energy and angst! Ha Ha Ha. I am certainly happy for my writers to find
joy in their lives, but I do with they'd not leave us in the lurch, so to say. I have so enjoyed
the bits and pieces of Damar stories that I've found (ie: in the Elemental stories book), so I
am glad to see that some of that world does still leak out of Robin. It is such a well rounded
world vision. I did read Sunshine, her vampire book, which is not really my thing, but it was
riviting all the same.
I will hope that Pat finds it easy to keep up her writing schedule and that she makes us all
happy with the next installment in the Tori/Jame/Kindrie saga.
