      Respected All,

      A Warm greetings
PG Department of Social Work (MSW)
Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, Coimbatore-8
Topic:One Day Workshop on proposal wrting.
There is a registered NGO for every 300 person in India. If these
registered NGO will properly work in their respective place, we will
be the number one country in the world. We can see everyday few NGO's
will be getting registered. There are many NGO's registered are not
found working and it is remaining in registered level only. This is
purely lack of professionalism in operating the registered NGO's.
Keeping this, The PG department of Social work of Sri Krishna Arts &
Science College, Coimbatore will be organizing a one day workshop on
Proposal writing to how to get funding projects. A proposal is an
essential professional social marketing document that helps cultivate
an initial professional relationship between an organization and a
donor over a project to be implemented. Proposals have recently become
more sophisticated. This reflects the increased competitiveness and
larger resources existing in the NGO sector. The trend of inviting
proposals for contracting development programmes began with the
allotment of important resources for development that triggered off
the mushrooming of NGOs around the world.
Enormous opportunities exist for NGO's to get funding projects from
state and central governments, donor organizations and international
funding organizations. There is a touch competition to get funding
projects. It needs more professional proposals with authenticity and
accountability. Proposal writing poses many challenges, especially for
small and unskilled NGOs. NGOs depend upon funding to carry out their
activities. Their ability to get funding is usually related to
submitting articulate, brief proposals that have carefully followed
all of the guidelines required by the donor. Retaining funding is
likewise dependent on carrying out the activities outlined in the
proposal, and in describing them to the donor in timely, well-written
reports. Good proposal and report writing is an art form. It requires
an economy of word and clarity of meaning that experienced writers are
accustomed to producing. Writing proposals and reports for NGOs often
requires technical knowledge about the type of project activities the
NGO performs, including specialized terms and development strategies.
The department of social work will be conducting a programme on this
with the resource person Mr.A.R.P.DEVARAJ, Project Director, Bala
Shanthi for children, Shanthi Ashram, Coimbatore on Second March 2013,
Saturday at 10.00 a.m at the college premises. Those who are working
in any NGO's or registered NGO's or professional social workers,
students of social sciences can attend this programme. Prior
registration is a must. For further details contact Pf.Dhivya on her
      mobile 9629107843.
