Thanks, Vinay. Congrats on this positive measure. This is regarding
Budget. Inflation containment is a must. In the USA & Malaysia, &
abroad there is value for the smallest coin. If I submit a $ 100 for
1 cent due I get back $99.99 cents.
In the British India days, a chicken dish on the Frontier Mail
dining car cost 6annas, 3 pice, and 2pies.
Today, there is no value for the small coins. The largest
denomination coin is the bottom of acceptable currency.
Beggars delight in this practice .They refuse to accept low
denomination coins, saying it is time consuming & wastage of their
        labor.
Super malls print bills 'rounding off' the small coins. Contractors
and architects submit tenders, quoting Rs.5000.25paise per square
        foot.
Hardware dealers buy in 'Metric' and sell in 'British.' A ton of
nails bought sells at Rs.2 per dozen!
None of our economic experts bother to touch on this aspect.
The time worn adage,' Take care of the pennies, and the pounds will
take care of themselves has never been more relevant.
Is it possible to solve this problem?
        Regards,Denis

Sub:  Complaint against  M/s. India Today Book Club & Grabitmore.com, Delhi for cheating.

          Respected Sir,

I wish to inform you that under a prize scheme  of India Today Book Club I had purchased lot of items like Philips music home theatre,  watches, video play game, pens, cameras etc.  My members ship No. Of India Today Book Club is ITBC09210463.  Their customer care No.is 01204112424.  The total cost of my purchases  was about 5.5 lacs  through my credit cards.  I thought  India Today/ India Today Book Club  is a reliable company  and shall not do any fraudulent  nature of  business.  Their executive  members have exited me and made me to purchase huge amount of items from them and assured me 120%  that I will be getting the prize money of  Rs.8 lacs.  The above purchases  I have made from the period of 31st May, 2009. All the above transactions were made through my mobile  They assured me that they are going to give away the prize money of Rs.8 lacs in the month of March, 2010,  but they fail to do so and extended the period.    Till today I have not  received any prize money. Therefore, I understood that  have misguided and cheated me. Of course, I have received the above goods and sold it to my friends and relatives and managed to pay the money to credit card banks.  Some of their products were out dated, so I could sell the  items  half of the price money.    There was some shortage of  money to be paid to the credit card companies.  I had taken  loan from my relatives and paid to the respective card companies.  Since India Today Book Club name got spoiled  through this type of business they have now changed the name as "Bag it Today".   I was very much disappointed due to the above incident and fell ill.

The persons who have contacted me from India Today  Book Club are as follows:-

          Ms. Priyanka

          Mr. Ram Mukesh

          Mr. Ankush

          Mr. Jitendra Kumar

          Mr. Pravin

          Mr.Rahul KumaR

In the meantime one company  known as "Grabitmore.com"  contacted me  by one Mr. Sobit Thomar/Mr Sanjay Mallik  from phone No.+919953197822/+919990907278.  They made several calls on my mobile  and said that  they came to know that I had been cheated by India Today Book Club and will surely help me.  They said they have the software approved by Reserve Bank of India and  could manage to track the voices of executives of India Today Book Club, who were spoken to me.   Initially I was not ready to believe them.  Mr. Sobit Thomar gave me two persons contact  Nos. i.e one Mr. Pradeep and Mr. Chandradeep Varma.  Their phone Nos. are 09999991658 / 09910809110.  Mr. Pradeep mentioned that he is a software engineer  and got the money from India Today Book Club through "Grabitmore.com.  The other  man Mr.Chanradeep Varma said that he received half of the money from India Today Book club against his purchases and the balance money he will receive soon.  Both of them assured  me that Grabitmore.com  company is very reliable.  Hence, I initially paid them Rs. 60,000/- in the month of Sept.2010 which they returned to me very promptly  on my request  saying  them that I wanted to pay my credit card balance to the respective bankers.  They also sent me two mobile phones for becoming their member as  a  free  gift.  This made me to believe them.  I paid them an amount of Rs.1,58,000/-  over a  period  through Citibank Credit Card.

Grabit more.com promised to return the above money with  interest to be paid to the credit card company by July 24, 2011.  Till June I could contact them  over the phone then their both phone were switched of.  Mr. Pradeep and Mr. Chandradeep Varma surrendered their phones Nos.  and it has been given some other person.

15 days  back one  Mr. Sacin Upadhyaya called me from   mobile No.+918860696808 and said  he is from Bag It Today  D D Despatch Dept. and asked me how much money Grabitmore.com have to pay me.  I said they promised to send an amount of  Rs.6.50 lacs, India Today Book Club already agreed to pay this amount. He said that he will be sending me an amount of  Rs.6.65 lacs. He had also mentioned that some of the executives have joined "Grabitmore.com" and passing on the information pertains to India Today Book club.

On 28th Nov. One Mr. Rajiv Sharma contacted me on my mobile that he is from  Bag it Today, Accounts Dept. from  mob. No.+911164774329 and said that he is sending me a demand draft draft  of Rs.4.45 lacs after deducting an amount of Rs.1,45,200/- for income tax purpose and asked me to pay Rs.15,998/- as further tax on the above amount.  He had asked me for my PAN Card copy and residential  proof.

While browsing on the website of  Consumer complaint Forum I found lot of members have made complaints against India Today Book Club and Grabitmore.com

I wish to mention here that I am retired person and receiving  very meagre pension amount.  It is very difficult for me to meet the family monthly  expenses. My credit card company pressurising me for  making the payment due to them.

The above complaint already registered at your office and Vishnu Nagar Police Station Dombivli (W).

I hope your honour will look into the matter so that I will come out  from this problem.

          Thanking you,

          Yours faithfully,
