To:Hi. This is a link to a speaking tree article I wrote, titled Changing Your Consciousness. Do give it a read. The link http://www.speakingtree.in/public/spiritual-blogs/masters/science-of-spirituality/changing-your-consciousnessRegardsVaidyanathan_
Everything in existence, is consciousness. The world was born out of consciousness, and as life evolved, consciousness too evolved and manifested as myriad entities. The difference between various things that exist, is only a difference in the way consciousness expresses itself. The difference between human beings---good and bad person, rich and poor, honest or dishonest, clean or corrupt, saint or sinner----in the difference only in consciousness.
Once we are fully aware that everything is only a different manifestation of consciousness, it becomes clear that unless one brings about a change in consciousness, nothing can change in our internal or external world. Poverty, disease, bad times, bad circumstances---eventually everthing that ever existed and continues to exist, is consciousness manifested in various ways. Change your consciousness and you can change yourself, and by changing yourself, you automatically bring about a small or big change, in the world around you.
Traditionally, we are taught and geared to think that any change must begin with external action. To change circumstances or situations, we must act accordingly. So, if we have a disease, we go to the doctor and take medicines. If we are poor, we struggle to make more money. If we are lonely, we try and form relationships. But unless there is a change in our consciousness, things change very little, or change only temporarily. Our original problem---disease, poverty or loneliness---has come about because of a particular type of consciousness that we possess. Until this consciousness is changed, nothing can change permanently. If we get a disesase, somewhere in our consciousness there is a need for that disease; somewhere, we want that disease to fulfill some unknown desire or intention. Unless this desire or intention changes, unless this need disappears, the disease is unlikely to go away. It might go away temporarily due to medicines, but will come back, either in a similar fashion, or in a different way. The moment we change our consciousness, our thinking, the moment we get rid of our limiting beleifs, miracles happen, and everything changes.
Some of the people who have cured themselves of incurable disease---like Brandon Bays, Paula Horan, Martin Broffman, Anita Moorjani, Louise Hay, Dr. Wayne Dyer----all could do so, not because of medicines, but because of a sea change in their consciousness. They firstly became aware of their limiting beleifs, they became aware of something in their consciousness that needed to manifest the disease, and by getting rid of this something, they managed to completely cure themselves. If you are looking of peace, joy, happiness, abundance, good health, the place to look for it, or to look for the switch which will bring all these things---is deep within your consciousness. Let go of limiting beleifs, let go of false ideas and values, see yourself for what or who you truly are---a manifestation, a representative of God on earth, truly magnificient, with no beginning and no end, with no birth and no death----and all that you wish for will become your reality._._,_.___
