      Bridge the Intergenerational Gap with focus on Maintenance and Welfare of
      Parents & Senior Citizens.

      Dear Sir/ Madam,

      Greetings from Regional Resource & Training Centre- South, Bangalore.

      Nightingales Medical Trust (NMT) is a registered, non-profit, voluntary
      organisation working for the well-being of the elderly in and around Bangalore. 
      NMT organizes various innovative, family-based support systems for elders of
      different socio-economic groups – Daycares, Helpline, Residential Care for
      Dementia, Rural Mobile Medicare Units, Training Programs, etc. Every day, over
      800 elders benefit from NMT's services. NMT successfully partners with
      government agencies such as the National Institute of Social Defence, Bangalore
      City Police and Bangalore City Corporation.

      Recognizing our work, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government
      of India has designated NMT to be the Regional Resource & Training Centre (RRTC)
      for the 4 Southern States of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh
      .One of the objectives of RRTC is to conduct sensitization programs, capacity
      building and training programs for students, senior citizens, counsellors,
      teachers government aided NGOs involved in age care in the four southern
      States.
      We are organizing a –
      "One Day Sensitisation Program for School/College Teachers/Students/Youths to
      Bridge the Intergenerational Gap with focus on Maintenance and Welfare of
      Parents & Senior Citizens."

      The basic purpose of this training is to create awareness & sensitize the target
      group on the provisions of the above mentioned Act and facilitate a better
      understanding of intergenerational bonding whereby elders can be respected and
      cared for within the family setting.
