      Hi All,

      We successfully completed our mission and able to reach around 400 needy families. We started around 4:45PM from our office and able to reach Ongole at 1AM.

      Below are the excerpts from our journey.

      We got help from;

      1. Ravindra Babu (District Revenue Officer, Ongole), nice gentle man who arranged other people to have proper distribution.

      2. Ravi Kumar (Project Director), he came all along to Alluru to make sure proper coordination and distributing the kits to needy.

      3. Raghava Rao (Special Deputy Collector), he came along with us till Alluru and present there at distribution.

      4. VRC Reddy (Govt Retd. Employee) local leader. He was the man who helped us to have proper distribution. Took care of local transport and lunch for the team.

      Transport:

      We got kits from Guntur and kits were loaded in Eicher Mini truck. We could use the truck till Alluru village later we used couple of tractors to distribute in the remote areas.

      We helped the people who are living in the areas of;

      1.Dasa Linga Reddy Colony (Alluru, Ongole Dist). It is 10 KM away from Ongole town. - Around 200 familes were supported from us.

      2.Sangam - It is 4 KM away from Alluru and the complete metal road vanished due to heavy rain. The only mode of transport could be either Tractor or go by walk. We arranged two Tractors to transport the kits and distributed them. We were first to reach and help the needy. We distributed around 125 kits in this village. The overall ride was a kind of roller coaster coupled with jumping ball experience. In way team got free body massage with heavy bumps ;).

      3.Srihari Puram, this village is 1KM away from Sangam and we helped around 75 families here.

      People were happy to see us and many supported during entire process.

      Finally; We had some fun and visited Kotha Patnam beach which is 5KM away from Alluru village, we spent around 20 min in the beach and came back to hotel. We started back around 5PM.

      It was joyful journey to team had fun, pleasure and filled with energy.

      Regards,
      Kiran Kumar P V,

      Hi Friends,

      Known contacts in Ongole made it to the worst affected places and found that around 92 familes are starving for food. No one ever reached them so far and it seems that ETV2 ran a 3 min program on them.

      To let these 92 families survive for 5 days, we are aiming at collecting one quintol rice.

      Looking forward for your immediate response either in Kind or Donation. We will let the fund reach the needy through known contacts and sources.

      If needed, Amarnath of Nenunnaanu group will join the distribution.

      P.S: Not sure if this is correct approach or not, but giving food to the needy in the most difficult phase is the immediate step that we can take. Later may be we can use this help as a channel to explain them about the sources of the problem and try to create awareness.
