Most of the demands of the TRS, including its targeting of even very old pensioners, apart from the sheer vindictiveness, have another dimension. As they have been using the word ‘demerger’, frequently it means that they want everything to be as though the state of Andhra Pradesh never happened and that the situation as on 1956 be restored.
In 1956, the Hyderabad state consisted of Telengana, Maratwada and the Kannada speaking areas now in the Karnataka state. If the situation as on 1956, is to be restored, erasing the period between 1956-2013,if the law really permits, then those people now in Maratwada and Karnataka get equal rights with those who are Aryan pure Telenganites only. It means that the former Hyderabad state has to be revived. Can this be done without bringing into the problem the states of Karnataka and Maharashtra?
If the principle of the linguistic states is to be abrogated and if the principle of the revival of the former princely states is to be introduced, does it not require the total amendment of the constitution? What do they mean by demerger and actually targeting the old people who may have reached even 90 years? If this new demerger principle is to be accepted, then does it not give the 523 former princely states the right to get restoration? In their frenzy of hatred for the Seemandhras, reinforced by the humouring they have been getting from both the congress and the BJP, they are actually demanding the dismantling of everything that Sardar Vallabhai Patel achieved. Is this what they want to do while installing the tallest statue of Sardar Patel?
In 1948 about two crores of Hindus lost their lives while fleeing from Pakistan. Kasim Rizvi was threatening the genocide of Hindus in the Nizam’s kingdom. Nehru simply increased the general terror among the Hindus by stating that he wants to approach the UNO to protect the Hindus of the Nizam's Kingdom. It was terror and fleeing. It was Sardar Vallabhai Patel that saved the Hindus from certain death.
NOW THEY WANT TO UNDO WHAT PATEL GAVE THEM.
After being saved from the genocide in 1948 thanks to the operation Polo, there was the armed communist revolt that lasted up to 1953.The state consisting of three language groups—Telugu, Marathi and Kannada was seen as a very artificial state. There was a terrible urge to go back to the parent linguistic identities. Thus happened the Andhra Pradesh Revolution of 1956, the Maharashtra Revolution of 1956 and the Karnataka Revolution of 1956.
Can all these revolutions be killed now? Under what law? Why? Are they attempting emotional and identity genocide? Undo Patel?
- Very rightly said.KCR fellow who had migrated to Telangana shld go back to Vozianagaram Distt
With his entire family and his properties shld be taken over by the Govt.Sonia who is supporting KCR party TRS for the narrow purpose of electoral alliance shld,by analytical extension of KCR's formula,go back to Italy with her off springs winding up show here. They are creating hell for innocent people of The state.
Our stateoliticians shld come together and fight against this dictatorial behaviour of Sonia-KCR combine and save our self-respect and pride of Telugu speaking people.
The GOM shld go by what their conscience dictates and do Justice. The President of India is morally and by duty bound to do justice to the common people of the state whose rights are being trampled and whose lives and dignified way of peaceful living are oppressed.
The least that GOI shld divide twin cities into two and keep the capitals of both the states after participation in the two separate halves of twin cities forever. It will satisfy the demand of T people a state of their own and Seemandhra people can continue to live peacefully in Hyd.This will also entail little expenditure on the process of division.GOI can then have a plan for addressing the concerns of all the three regions, develop backward areas and ensure equitable treatment to all.Political leaders of all parties must rise above petty political considerations and behave like responsible leaders. The spirit of Akhanda Bharat and unity of Telugu speaking fraternity shld be maintained.Integrationand solidarity is what is needed and not disintegration and divide and rule policy, the meanest thing to do.
