Attack on India as a nation!
By 1947, the fervour in the Nizam state to join the rest of India, gathered feverish frenzy. The Rajakars under Kasim Rizvi started their depradations. The Patwari-police Patels who lose most began helping the Rajakars in tracking the freedom fighters. Jawaharlal Nehru with his usual penchant to mess up, wanted to go to the UN against the Nizam. Kasim Rizvi met Patel in Delhi and had loud verbal quarrel with him. He said that they will invade India and hoist their flag on the Red Fort. Jawaharlal vacillated.
Much against the will of Nehru, Patel ordered the Police action and within one week the problem was solved. Thank God we did not have another Kashmir here. The fervour of the freedom movement increased greatly in the Nizam’s kingdom. The Marathi speaking areas wanted to join the parent Maharashtra state, the Kannada speaking areas into Karnataka and Telengana into the newly emerging Visalandhra ultimately designated as the Andhra Pradesh. The position of the Nizam as the Raja Pramukh ended. The Indian nation was reorganized on the basis of linguistic cultures.
The year 1956 was the grand finale of India’s struggle for independence. The state assemblies in Hyderabad and at Kurnool with an overwhelming majority resolved to herald the great state of Andhra Pradesh. The Patel-Patwaris were very unhappy and ultimately succeeded in getting a few lines of caution written the Justice Fazal Ali commission’s report, though the entire report advocated the formation of Andhra Pradesh.
The emergence of a terrible sore like Kashmir was averted once for all, a great feather in the cap of free India. This wonderful state bloomed into great flower and the former areas under the Nizam excelled every other part of Andhra Pradesh in every field. The Patel Patwaris were in rout. None could imagine that those ghosts could so conspire and today make the two major political parties promise this very chapter of India’s independence to be murdered. India’s very struggle for freedom is sought to be poisoned!
Now the whole population in the Seemandhra is being shown total contempt---sneezed at or worse.
