      Mass voice of dissent!

      Dear Sir,

It is distressing to see, that even though ours is a democratic type of governance, but acting like a dictatorial type of Government in the center. A major crisis is brewing and majority people are opposing the proposed division of Andhra Pradesh state. The government is not functioning in 13 districts, consisting major part of the state, for more than 50 days. Lakhs of people have taken to the streets from all the cities, towns and villages of Rayala-Seema and Coastal Andhra regions, to oppose with one voice, yet neither the Prime minister, nor the President, shown any concern to find the root cause of the problem. How can the government act so indifferently when majority of the people revolting against the decision?. Even the national media is almost silent as if it was a minor issue as no political party is leading this mass movement. People areexpressing their strong disapproval with determination. So far these mass protests are going in a non-violent peaceful way, but if the government remains unconcerned, it could turn violent with dangerous repercussions. It very unwise policy to think that any party can successfully rule by dividing the people. The British government faced wrath of the people when it divided the Bengal state into two parts, in October 1905. The revolutionary movement started in Bengal against the government, spread like a wild fire in the entire British ruled India.

      Sincerely,

      M V S Rao.
