The Joy of Giving Week, a festival of philanthropy that aims to become a part of the Indian ethos, is being celebrated nationwide by engaging people through acts of giving --- money, time, resources and skills, spanning the corporate, NGO and government sectors, schools, colleges and the general public. Karmayog, throwing in their two cents, is organising a fair, the Karmayog Seva Mela, an expression of joy of service to humanity by bringing together NGO’s and people together.

The Mela, which will be held on October 1 and 2 at Kowtha Kamakoti Kalyana Mandapam, Padmaraonagar, Secunderabad, will provide a platform to several NGOs addressing different needs, to engage the general public in their good works by innovative means.

Participating NGOs are putting up stalls to spread awareness about their services and activities.

The Mela also aims to encourage visitors to be part of the movements and contribute in in any way they can. The mela is being supported by various private organisations --- ADP, Broadridge, KL Manohar, Liquidhub, Nalanda Advertising and Namdhari Events.

So add food, frolic, shopping, theatre and cultural performances to an event that aims at raising awareness about various social causes and to give back to the society, and you’ve got a couple days of fun with a conscious.
