West Michigan Search and Rescue Finds Hunter

(Barry County, November 8, 2002, 12:15 p.m.) A Woodland, Michigan man is in critical condition. State police say 33 year old Shannon Brischke went hunting in Barry County and was reported missing Wednesday by his roommate.
He was not found until Thursday around 2:00 p.m. by a search team. Police say he had fallen 20 feet out of a tree stand and couldn't move his legs. He's now in the hospital in critical condition.
Hunter Recovers After Being Trapped in Woods For 2 Days
Grand Rapids- A hunter is hospitalized after falling out of a tree stand. Shannon Brischke of Barry County was hunting by himself near Lake Odessa on Tuesday. He fell out of a tree and couldn't call for help. Thursday, members of West Michigan Search And Rescue found him. They say, Brischke was paralyzed from the waist down and was feeling the effects of two cold days outside.
Brischke is currently in a coma at a Grand Rapids hospital. Tonight, we'll have more on his story and the rescuers who found him.
