Older and Wiser ?
It's that time of the year when this old man became one year older and hopefully one year wiser.
As I walked along the beach the other morning I thought about how fortunate I am to live on an Island with such great weather where the people are friendly and the cost of living is amongst the lowest in the world. For example my five dollar massages which take away the pain from almost daily tennis matches one hour before.
You know you're getting older when people always say you look good for your age. Why can't they just say in you look great? MORE
American Real Estate Depressed:
Yesterday one of my clients told me a property in Hawaii had dropped from $600,000 to $200,000. Another good American friend told me that 1 in every 8 homes in Las Vegas is in foreclosure. Just two of the markets I warned about four years ago. MORE
America Gets Worse as It Grow Older:
Unlike a good wine that gets better as it gets older America seems to be suffering an inverse fate and getting worse each year.
As shown below the U.S. does not seem to be any closer to solving its Aug 2nd debt debate. It appears that if the debt ceiling is not raised several things may happen. MORE
U.S. Contingency Plan Gives Bondholders Priority:
The U.S. Treasury will give priority to making interest payments to holders of government bonds when due if lawmakers fail to reach an agreement to raise the debt ceiling, according to an administration official.
