PRESS RELEASE BIWA TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2009

Sanur, Bali .April 1st, 10, 2009. Bali International Womens Association (BIWA) is once again organizing its annual fund raising tennis tournament. This tournament will be organized by Bali Tennis Academy (BTA). Proceeds will go to fund scholarships for underprivileged children as well as women and childrens health & education in Bali. Last year, we had 150 participants from Bali, Java, Sumatra, Lombok and overseas and this year we expect to have around 200 players.
The Charity Tennis Tournament will take place from Friday, April 24th to Thursday, April 30th, 2009 at Bali Tennis Academy - Nikko Bali Resort & Spa (3 indoor courts).
To open the tournament, a cocktail party will be held on Friday, April 24th, 2009 at 5 pm at the Bali Tennis Academy, Tennis lawn at Nikko Bali Resort & Spa and sponsored by the hotel. Closing the event there will be an Award Ceremony Dinner at the hotel on Thursday, April 30th, 2009 at 7.30pm onwards.
Great prizes as well as trophies will be presented to winners and runners up. Fabulous door prizes will also be on offer. Some of the donations and contributions from sponsors will be auctioned during the cocktail while the remaining will be sold at the closing Award Ceremony Dinner.

OPEN: Men/Ladies, Singles/Doubles/Mixed
SUPER AMATEUR MENS SINGLES
AMATEUR: Men/Ladies, Singles/Doubles/Mixed
SENIOR: Men/Ladies,Singles/Doubles/Mixed 50 years up
JUNIOR: Boys/Girls, Singles/Doubles below 14 years
The deadline for entries is April 20th, 2009 and the draw will be held on April 22nd. Registration forms are available at BIWA, Jl. This tournament is one of BIWAs Annual Charity to continue supporting the needy people in Bali, said Joyce Nelwan, BIWAs Past President 2007 2008 as her capacity of the Tournament Coordinator. It is a great sport where people can enjoy, compete and help the unfortunate children and women in Bali at the same time. It is going to be an exciting tournament for everyone, she added.
Bali International Womans Association ( BIWA ) is a local non-profit organization with more than 300 members from 27 countries. The objectives of our organization are to foster international friendship and understanding and to carry out welfare programs for the local community.
