XBase09 OS upgrade
- Hi all,
I just bought Jomox Xbase09 (a standard one - not Second, TokTok or Dr Walker -edition) second hand and immediately joined this group that I have been lurking for years.
It is indeed a wonderful little machine, but as an only downside, this particular unit still holds the firmware version 1.32. The OS version 2.09 contains several improvements compared to this one, so I'd naturally like to upgrade it.
But there is one big BUT ...
According the Jürgen's mail (http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/jomox/message/3203), the EPROM-chips with upgraded OS are not sold any more, thus making burning of the upgrade chip by myself the only option.
What kind of EPROM chips are needed for XBase09?
Same 2x 27C512 or 2x 27C256 as for Air-/Jazbase? I haven't yet dared to open the machine to check its internals.
And does someone have the 2.09 firmware binary to share?
