I have never had much problem hitch hiking North out of Bishop but
have had long waits going South. It can get really hot on 395 in the
Bishop to Mammoth
Lone Pine to Bishop

I am planning on doing the JMT with a start date of 7/24 and I too am interested in your service. I will be leaving my car at WP and I will need a shuttle for two from Whitney Portal to the Mammoth Yarts. What would be your charge for that and what times do your run your service? ie would we be able to catch the early am Yarts from mammoth to Yosemite Valley?
