      'THE ROAD TO SPRING.............

AS THE DWEEBS HAVE SAID IN THE PAST...LA NINA WINTERS END
EARLY......AND EARLY MEANS OVER BY THE END OF APRIL/EARLY MAY WHILE
EL NINO WINTERS SEEM TO LINGER ON LIKE THE EVER-READY BUNNY INTO
JUNE. LAST YEAR WE HAD SNOW ON GRADUATION DAY IN JUNE. THIS YEAR
WE'LL BE IN SHORTS IN MAY....THAT IS NOT TO SAY THAT WE MAY NOT HAVE
AN UNSETTLED PERIOD OT TWO.....BUT THIS YEARS LONG PROTRACTED WET
SPELL IS ALMOST HISTORY AS CHANGES IN THE PATTERN OF TROPICAL
RAINFALL/CONVECTION IN THE EQUATORIAL WESTERN PACIFIC SHIFT EAST.
      ...
WE STILL HAVE TWO MORE SYSTEMS TO DEAL WITH...FRIDAY/NGT AND
      SUNDAY/NGT.....

EXPECT THE POSSIBILITY OF ANOTHER 3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW FRIDAY
      AFTERNOON/NIGHT AND ANOTHER 3 TO 6 INCHES SUNDAY/NIGHT......FRIDAYS
SYSTEM LOOKS TO BE THE LAST STORM OF THE SEASON FOR LA.

THE APRIL 29TH FISHING OPENER LOOKS MARVELOUS! :-)'

My comment: There is still a TON of snow to melt, especially in the
Mammoth / Tuolumne area. See this live cam of Half Dome
      (almost hidden) at Yosemite:

      Great hiking to all!
