- Nov 18, 2013View SourceRavi's right, they emptied the whole bus into a new bus in Bishop for those continuing northbound. No chance of anyone losing their seat/ticket in the transference and the new bus is adjacent to the old bus. Similar to flying across the country and the whole plane is transferred to another plane at an interim stop.-------------------------------------------------

When I took the bus from Lone Pine to Reno, everyone had to change to a different bus in Bishop in front of the K Mart but this was a coordinated transfer so there was no risk of missing the connection.
The hitch from Whitney Portal to Lone Pine was easy. I had a ride in less than 30 minutes.

Will require a bus connection, probably in Mammoth Lakes. (I'm going by memory, but hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong).
