When I try to read the attachment, it comes up with a request on what to use
      to open with. Suggestions?

What type of file is the attachment? If you don't have the program
that opens it, Windows will ask you to pick an application. If
its an Acrobat reader file, you will need Adobe Reader.

Just to clarify for everyone: there was no attachment in my last e-mail. I do have the URL of my homepage included in the "signature" which is
automatically inserted at the bottom of all my messages, and some mail readers may falsely interpret the http:// as a reference to an attachment.

Since not everyone uses mail programs that can easily handle attachments, it will be good for us to avoid using them in general. They often also
take up much more space, and so are best kept for private e-mails.
