       1. Good Quote of the Month

"Education is not about teaching people what they do not know, it is about teaching them to behave as they do not behave". -John Ruskin

       2. A Tip for Partnerships- Getting start in Partnerships

Getting start in Partnerships by The NETWORK
To get start in partnerships with business, NGO should seek to analyze what kind of causes each company prefers to support and how it relates to the company core value in order to develop good partnerships in leveraging resources of both businesses and ngos. For example, Ford Motor Company Fund & Community Services supports not-for-profit organizations in three major areas: innovation and education, community development and American legacy, and auto-related safety education. 3. News on Partnerships

From little things big things grow - 2007 HP- Micro Enterprise Development Grant Program

HP has been working with grass root civil society organizations by committing to increasing ICT knowledge and access to micro enterprises group for many years. In 2007 HP gave USD$1.3m in grants to eleven innovative agencies across Asia Pacific under the 2007 Micro Enterprise Development Program. In Asia Pacific, HP has recently announced 17 grants to 11 organizations in India , China , Indonesia , Korea , Australia and New Zealand , who will receive an USD$80,000 grant under this innovative program to assist them with their work nurturing successful entrepreneurs in their communities. According to Rita Sully, HP's Corporate Affairs Manager for APJ, one thing that micro enterprises and the agencies that support them can lack is access to the latest technology and the benefits this provides in honing efficiencies and training individuals in key business skills. "Helping successful micro enterprises get off the ground, expand, access technology, and become more efficient and sustainable, is a direct way HP can help communities around the region address high unemployment, economic challenges and marginalisation," Sully said.        4. Knowledge on Partnerships

Corporate values - Getting into good habits
Special Reports in the Ethical Corporation Magazine November 2007
      Date: 15 November 2007
      Sources: http://www.ethicalcorp.com/content.asp?contentid=5524
The relationship between values and corporate success is undoubtedly strong, yet the road to hell is paved with well-intentioned and widely ignored statements of values. To understand the real health of an organization, you have to go beneath the surface, and track those subterranean streams of behavior that ultimately shape decision-making. In the years ahead, this will require the following of what I would describe as the "behavioral audit trail", a process described below which can turn a statement of values from mere good intentions to real risk management.
