Jet Li is in another explosive, action-packed, weapons-filled movie called The Expendables. He's accompanied by the studliest of stars, among them Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brittany Murphy, Eric Roberts, Steve Austin and Charisma Carpenter.

Personally, my favorite Jet Li movies were not solely for the satisfaction of testosterone induced excitement, but to learn the art of gentle ways and watching the tribulation of heroes as they seek their destiny in life. Thus my favorites were The Taichi Master, Once Upon a Time in China, and Swordsman II.

Although I don't look forward to what seems on the surface to be such a pointless, violent movie, I will watch it since I admire Jet Li so. Perhaps like the many times I have been too quick to judge and have been wrong, this movie might prove to be a deep, thought-provoking, and emotionally demanding one.
