She left the show because her character development had reached a
plateau. The writers pretty much ran out of ideas for Kes. At the
same time, the teenage male and adult male demographics did not have
high viewership of Voyager, so they replaced Kes with Seven of Nine.
I personally liked Kes better, but that's just me.

She was in Rubbernecking and SLC Punk. She also starred (voice) as
Elle in the Men In Black Animated Series. I'm not sure what else, but
I'm sure you can find a complete list or near complete list of her
acting work on tvtome.com. My guess is that her low profile in the
past couple of years has something to do with she and her husband
having a baby. I doubt that's the whole reason, though.
