Tasting the Mango - fun key fundamentals, whole-mind common-sense approach - UK
5th Young Jains International Convention
London, UK, 23 25 August 2002
Just as a mighty mango tree is hidden within the stone of the mango, even so, O man, divinity itself is hidden within you. Rest not until you uncover it. Bhagwan Mahavir
In order to find the divinity that Bhagwan Mahavir referred to (above) we must understand the path to Moksha beginning with the fundamentals of Jainism. These will be explored using the four fun keys; (1) Play Full Out, (2) Have Fun, (3) Capture It, (4) Use It, in order to fully engage in the experience of the Convention and to leave with tools and techniques that you can apply to your life. The whole-mind, common-sense approach refers to interactive sessions appealing to the creative and rational mind. The senses (which we all have in common) will be engaged, using music, visuals, movement etc. Elements of Jainism will be pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle so that we see the whole picture of Mahavir Bhagwans message.
Our guest speaker (to be confirmed) for the weekend is Pujya Shri Chitrabhanuji, a pioneer of Jainism in the western world.
