Group Description

Meet Jennifer Kumar

As the daughter of an immigrant Hungarian family in the U.S., Jennifer grew up learning the differences between Americans and people of other cultures. She understands the challenges of working and interacting with Americans as well as the differences in the American and Indian thinking processes.

Jennifer has a unique understanding of both US and Indian cultures from both her professional and personal life. Her first exposure to Indian culture came through a Punjabi NRI friend named Maya. Maya was the daughter of an Indian Ambassador, and much to Jennifer’s frustration, was unable to answer any questions about India since she had never lived there. Ironically, “Maya” means illusion in several Indic languages.

Through over 15 years experience working and interacting with Indians, successfully bridging the gap between cultures for business, travel and personal communications, Jennifer gained valuable insight and knowledge into the daily interactions amongst resident Indians, NRI’s and their unique challenges addressing business concerns with U.S. clients, managers and colleagues. Read how her experience has helped others excel here.

During her career, Jennifer has worked as an English Conversation Coach, Communications Coordinator, and a Program Assistant for Global Ambassadors. To view her full credentials, visit her LinkedIn profile.
