  • Just press C-x C-w and it will show you where it is going to save (the CWD), then C-g to cancel. --- "Schofield, Bryan (GE Trans)" wrote: --------------------------------- aw shucks, I was hoping it would change directories based on the current buffer like Emacs. > -----Original Message----- > From: jasspa@^$1 > [mailto:jasspa@^$2]On Behalf Of > Thomas Hundt > Sent: Wednesday, May...

  • Thanks, that works great. Now... how can I run it on saving a php file? Also, has the ^C^D shortcut (change dir) been removed? Doesn't seem to work here (linux, latest ME version) --- smithno999 wrote: --------------------------------- A quick work around until you can get the syntax check on save working is to set up the syntax check as a tool. It's pretty straight forward to do...

  • Hi everyone, after using Eclipse for a while, there's a couple of things that I would like to implement in ME (well, quite a few, apart from the slowness). -Syntax check on save. Initially I plan to use php -l (lint), which gives you an error message and the line where it fails (just one). My intention is to have a small bottom window open with the error code (if any) and then have...

  • That would be great. As a minor solution it could be done for all the languages that use C++ style comments (such as PHP, Java, Javascript) --- Steven Phillips wrote: --------------------------------- Bryan, This is a know issue (to me at any rate) and does not currently have a simple solution. The problem is that the findFence code does not know that in tcl '#' is a comment to the...

  • If I am not wrong, ME doesn't use XFT, the new font system on X. To make those fonts available to all applications you need to copy them to the right folder, usually /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType, run ttmkfdir > fonts.scale and ttmkfdir > fonts.dir and, finally, make sure that the folder is somewhere in the font path (Fedora uses XFS but you can add the fonts directly to xorg...

  • I know that the CUA standard really only affects cut/copy/paste, open, save, find and a couple more. I don't mean the mode to be a definitive solution, just a stopgap so people can use a decent editor without having to learn all the emacs keybindings or have consistency with other applications (in my case, mylqlcc uses C-e for "execute query", imagine how dangerous it is to use ME...

  • I understand, it is just that it is not really consistent with the rest of a "normal" destkop. I don't mind it too much (until I happen to select text on another app and then try to paste my last ME killbuffer). Anyway, ignoring that, here it is the CUA mode: ; -!- emf -!- ; This is part of the JASSPA MicroEmacs macro files ; Copyright (C) 2001-2004 JASSPA (www.jasspa.com) ; See...

I will get it working and then send it to the list so you can have a look (sorry for needing all this hand-holding). > Ah. S-C-o is actually capital O i.e. C-O > However ME does not differentiate case so...

  • Well, I finally got around to implementing/testing the CUA mode for ME. I got the basic bindings like copy/paste/find but most of the others are not standard, so I have tried to make them reasonable (ctrl+g for searching again, but also f3, ctrl+w for closing the buffer, ctrl+f4 to close the window and so on). I have found a few problems so far: The select-all macro does not leave...

  • I have just built it to test xdnd and it works alright here with KDE. Thanks :) Also, could it be possible to add the "close tag" macro to the html mode? That would save me a lot of time while checking the pages ;) Thanks for your work Gabriel --- Jon Green wrote: --------------------------------- I've now prototyped the X-Window Drag'n'drop support using the XDND protocol as...
