Re: JAL compiling time up to 24 hours

Greetings, There was a design flaw (corrected) that could cause this. You didn't provide the compiler version, but it's best to update to the most recent.

Re: JAL compiling time up to 24 hours

It sounds strange to me. How big is the image that is created? If I compile my programs it takes seconds. Below some compile info from one of my programs.

Re: JAL compiling time up to 24 hours

The largest programs at jallib take less than a minute. Use the newest version. Sent from my iPhone On May 20, 2017, at 7:27 AM, 'Richard Gentle-Green'

Re: JAL compiling time up to 24 hours

Hello, I’m still using an older version of JAL and the longest code file I have created is about 400 lines of code (and some intricate stuff in there too),

Re: Play audio clip from SD Card

I did set the time delay to 50 seconds so the audio clip could play longer. Did notice after the 50 seconds elapsed that the clip restarted playing immediately

First,  I would get rid of the divisions and modulo operations and replace them with bit shifts and logical ANDs respectively.   Multiplication and division

Re: Inc and Dec

I agree with Kyle. Just keep the language consistent and do not mix two types of syntax in one language. JAL looks to be a bit like Pascal a language of which

Re: Play audio clip from SD Card

Hi Shawn, Awesome that worked "chkres = 0 - checksum + 0x7E"!! Now just have to figure out why it takes 14 seconds from power up to start playing the clip even

Re: Play audio clip from SD Card

Oh,  I missed that you were including the start character 0x7E in your checksum calculation too.  That's not correct according to the datasheet.   Try this
