Re: [JainList] self regulated universe
- Sorry about the previous e-mail. This smacks of Paley's watchmaker argument used to prove the existence of a creator god. Why should the universe have any purpose? The purpose of a self-regulating universe, if anything, is to regulate itself. What other purpose need there be?----- Original Message -----From: Hemant MehtaSent: Saturday, September 29, 2001 6:46 AMSubject: [JainList] self regulated universejai jinendra.i m reposting this query which went unanswered before.universe is self regulated and there is not external controlling agency.but what is it that the different inter related parts of the universe are working for.is there a common goal for which they r working. i understand different parts of the universe are changing from eternity and will continue to do so forever. but for what??? from jiva point of view the goal is Moksha. but what about the other substances and Universe as a whole. I understand its just the way things exist but as it has been pointed out repeatedly that nothing is random in this universe so was just pondering what is is that all substances of the universe r working for in such a systematic manner. we have alternate time cycles of incereasing happiness and decreasing happiness from eternity. but why?? is it sufficient to say that its the Law of Nature and there is no point in breaking your head to think why it happens the way it happens.regards, hemant mehta
