10. O lord Parshvanatha,
Lord of the Universe,
When clouds send down rains,
They cause wet dirt on the ground.
But the shower of your religious discourse,
Washes away the dirt of flaws
From the hearts of people.
So there is no similarity between the clouds and you.
- dear shri Manish ji
we want that if possible you can such valuable post in Hindi language
we met once at Jain Temple Milpitas California 2 years back if you remember you gave lecture at same place
- Dear Dr Lodha,
It is great to hear from you! I distinctly recall our conversation at
Thank you for your kind suggestion. There are a couple of reasons why I
do not send out Hindi translations:
1. I like to do work that has not been done before. Most of Mahopadhyaya
Yashovijaya's work has been translated excellently, several times, by
vastly learned monks, in Gujarati and I am sure in Hindi as well. And
not much of his writings have been translated into English. That is why
I prefer to translate into English.
2. Hindi typing takes more time and attention. And does not appear on
yahoogroups. (Hindi fonts appear as unseemly squiggles on yahoogroups.)
However, most of the new batch of translations that I have been sending,
are going to be published in book form. They will all be accompanied by
Gujarati or Hindi translations by extremely learned and scholarly Jain
monks like Gacchadhipati Acarya Jayaghosha suri and Acarya Kalyanabodhi
So just wait for a bit sir, I shall announce when the books are ready.
