      Sutra no.21, Chapter no.1:
      Bhavpratayayo avadhirdeva-naarkaanaam”
Means: An special type of knowledge which is called as avadhigyaan occurs in the demi-gods that is devtas or the celestial beings and the hellish beings that is the Naarkis only by taking birth in these lives.
Actually, Avadhigyaan occurs due to the Kshayopsam or disintegration/decay of AvadhiGyaanavaran and Veeryaantaraay karmas. And the dedcay of these karmas occurs due to following of vows, penances etc.But in heaven or hell these are not possible, that is why the avadhigyaan in these beings are said to be only due to their birth in these lives. However, these births are got themselves due to the decay of AvadhiGyaanavaran and Veeryaantaraay karmas.
Pt. Sri Kailashchandraji says in his commentary of Sri Tattvarthsutraji, that it must be noted that the Samyakdrishthis (souls with right faith) will have avadhigyaan, while the mithyadrishthis (those with wrong faith) will have Ku-avadhigyaan.
In Hindi and Sanskrit etc the prefix “Ku” means bad .
