Jade Elektra aka Alphonso King, came to New York City in 1992 from Tampa, Florida. An experienced female impersonator, vocalist and recording artist, who had no trouble finding work. After a few short months in the Big Apple, Alphonso King formed a revue that ran in Harlem at Copeland's and the historical Cotton Club called "The Illusions". After a six month run, came a few movie roles in, "To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar", "Party Girl", and "Jane Doe" came Jade's way. Jade also hit the small screen with 14 episodes of the now defunct "Richard Bey Show", one episode of the "Maury Povich Show" and two episodes of "New York Undercover". In 2000, she signed a record deal with Triple X** Records in London. "Bitch, You Look Fierce" and "Proud Mary" have become underground favorites from New York to London. Unfortunately, Triple X** Records folded. "How Do I Look?" was released in 2004 and has been remixed by DJs such as DJ Paulo and Midnight Society. Keep your ears open for the upcoming remixes of "Trade" by Midnight Society soon to hit iPods and dance floors everywhere.

In March of 2006, Jade was approached to revamp her talent competition at XES Lounge in Chelsea under the new name "Top Star" for a successful short run.
