It is that time of year again for the 3rd annual GRIDER/GUIDER/GRYDER family
reunion Saturday 21 June, 2003 at Fort Loudoun Dam, Lenoir City, Loudon
County, Tennessee starting at 10:00 A M. Please contact Kathy GUIDER Lilly
for more information and directions (865) 408-0119 or klillytn@...

This family starts with Joseph GRIDER/GUIDER/GRYDER and Ann Eliza TUCK that
married in 1846 in Blount County, Tennessee. They had these children:
Sarah, Lucinda, James Edward GRYDER, Joseph Houston, John W., Francis
(Frank) Marion GUIDER/GRIDER, George Washington GRYDER/GUIDER and Henry
Clay. After Ann Eliza died Joseph married Harriett Jane LAMBERT and they
      had one son J. Sherman.

Joseph served in the Union during the Civil War. He says he was born in
Rockbridge, Va. We think it was between 1810 to 1815.

Francis (Frank) Marion GUIDER married Katie ODOM in Loudon, Tennessee. They
had three children: Thomas, Cordelia and John. After Katie died Frank came
to Alabama and married Martha L. GOLD in Winchester, Tennessee but they
lived in Jackson, County, Alabama. They had these children: Ethel Mae,
Solomon David, Ora Lee that married Edward LATHAM, Dorothy that married a
BRANDON and then a TALLEY, Alvie Ree (Cap) that married a MORRIS, Osie
Hesteller and Aubrey Van (Punk) GRIDER that married a COOLEY. Most of their
children raised their families in Jackson County or close by.

We would love for you to come and meet new family members or see family you
haven't gotten to see in awhile.

      Thanks
      Regina GRIDER Pipes
