Still looking for connection between the following 2 families:

William Wilson (ca 1800 SC) & Sarah (mnu) Wilson (ca 1810 SC) were on the 1850 West Amunchee, Walker Co GA census. Children were: Benjamin W.E. Wilson (ca 1829 SC); Mary M (ca 1837 SC); Abby/Abigail L. (ca 1838 SC); Martha A. (ca 1839 SC); James (ca 1841 SC); Susan C./Suzy (ca 1843 GA); Jerrel/Jerry M. (ca 1845 GA); Minerva J. (ca 1847 GA); Sarah E. (ca 1849 GA) and Abraham/Abram/Abe (ca 1852-1853 GA.) Apparently this Wilson family left SC around 1841-1843 and settled in GA.

The above Mary M Wilson is believed to have married an Andrew J Woodall (b. ca 1834-37 TN) around 1853 in GA. Two sons, John A Woodall born ca 1854 GA and Abraham Woodall born ca 1856 in GA.

William Wilson and those still living at home were in Lebanon, DeKalb Co AL for the 1860 census. Andrew J Woodall and his family were also in Lebanon for the 1860 census.

By 1870, William Wilson is about 69 years old and living in the Jackson Co AL home of daughter, Minerva J Wilson Wenrick, wife of David Wenrick. Andrew J Woodall and his two sons, John A and Abraham, are in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co KY for the 1870 census. Looks like a new wife is shown in the home.

After this 1870 census, I find no other info on Andrew J Woodall, his children, or first wife, Mary M Wilson Woodall. It is thought that Mary M Woodall is found on the 1870 Morgan Co AL census with brother, Abraham/Abram/Abe Wilson living with her. Abe is believed to have died around 1874. Can not find Mary M Wilson Woodall after 1870 census.

I'm desperately seeking information on Andrew J Woodall and his parents and siblings. Could his parents be Isiah Woodall and Sarah from TN? Was there an earlier connection between the Wilson and Woodall families.....perhaps back in SC,TN or GA? What happened to Andrew J's 2 sons; where did they go? Did Andrew J Woodall stay in KY or TN the rest of his life or did he come back to AL?

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

      Paula
