Larry- Thanks for copying the post to Edward. A cousin who compiled the Carter lineage I use gave me Edward's contact info, but I've been reluctant to contact him out of the blue. This is the same line of Carters and, if Edward's book is available, I'd love to buy a copy. I'm not sure, but I think he is also descended from Reuben Carter. Dana
