Subject: [jacksongenealogy] Genealogy Learning Courses
Check to see if your local History or Genealogical Society/Association gives course, they usually are free. Sometimes the community colleges give genealogy courses.
Also if you live in or near a large city the local LDS History Center may give free genealogy courses and they will order micofilm from the Granite Mountain in Utah for you for a small fee. That's a good way to see the Jackson County Court Records, wills, estates, land, etc. There usually is a LDS History Center within 50 miles of just about everyone. Check at www.familysearch.org to find one near you.
The familysearch.org has many books that you can see on line in their library on genealogy. Just enter the surname in the search engine and see what comes up. It may take a little time to navigate around their website but it may well be worth it.
