- Thanks so much for the additional info. I believe this is a d/o James & Ann Brown Cosby, according to the census, anyway. I intended to try and find her but as usuall, something else "popped up" and caught my attention and I never did get to it. I'll add that data to the records I have. I appreciate your help.

Haven't been able to find your family on 1870 census but did find Elizabeth Parsons on 1860 census She is living close to James Cosby.
Eizabeth Parsons Age 33 House #548 Blount Co
John Parsons Age 11
Aminda Parsons not sure of spelling Age 10
Rachel Parsons Age6
This would mean that Elizabeth was already married in 1850
