      Hi Amy,

I looked online last night only to discover that three of the children from
Elijah's family were moved into Elizabeth Stephens. With all the updates to
the ancestry layout it appears when you use the connect feature it also
alters the parents and draws in whatever the other person may have, thus
making mothers out of both female parents. Sorry for the confusion, I have
since repaired the file and have the proper children with the proper
parents. I have also made a genealogy report on my hard drive version of my
database if you would like me to send it to you in word format so you can
see the notes and other things I have on my personal copy. Once more sorry
I did not take the time when I responded to see the online file, I have been
working with another member of James and Sarah Colbert's family and did not
even look at the core family until your posting made me think about what you
may have saw, and you were right and I was wrong about what was displayed
online, so I guess now I have to go through all 70,000 relationship to see
if they still are the same as my online version, computers!!! !!!

Hope we can add to the family information, and maybe correct some of the
information I got over ancestry and roots web. The original family was
outlined by Charles Brashear, author of The Brazier Family, the First 200
Years in America. He has our family as stragglers within this group. At
one point he believe our Elijah came from the Elijah of Cumberland, then it
was William of Georgia. Once we found the census of Elijah in Blount in
1830 it appeared that in fact we do not know exactly where this Elijah fits
into the Brazier, Brassier, Brasher, Brashear, Brasure family. So at this
point I am not sure how John, and the other Brasure who appear with Elijah
(1776) relate to each other, except the possibility that this is part of
Elijah Brasure b 1776 NC family. I have always wanted to work on this
Elijah, yet his history is just more mystery, I am very curious of the
"Hill" in his household in the last census we see him in (1850), could it be
a grandson taking care of him. The name of course is smudged out so I am
not even sure if it is a Hill, yet I know that the Hill family of Jackson
also marries into this family. I also am trying to understand the name of
Elijah (1800) only son by his first wives name, Velina Hart, was she a Hart
      or Valentine?

Well, I just want to say I was sorry if I came across a bit gruff with my
response, now that I see my data error on the internet I can understand your
confusion - please let me know if you would like me to send you my 4
generation file so you can see them by marriage, location, and records I
have been able to obtain to date.

      cuz Jimmie
