- Elizabeth A. (Shelton) Harper was the wife of William Benjamin Harper on 21 Jul 1871 she filed a claim as the administrator of his estate, they resided at Larkinsville, Jackson Co. AL, that Benjamin Harper had died in the latter part of the winter of 1864 (note: in her application for dower Elizabeth gives his death date as 5th of Oct 1864, and they had married 10 Jan 1841.

All testified to Benjamin Harper's loyality to the Union and the goods taken.
Benjamin Harper had 2 sons and one brother in law who served in Union Army. His son John left Confederate service after 1 year of service.
Mrs. Lucinda Buchanan was the dau. of Benjamin and Elizabeth A. Harper age 23 resides in Franklin Co. TN near Cowan Station on Nashville to Chattanooga RR.
Mrs. Mary A. Grubbs was the dau of Benjamin and Elizabeth A. Harper she was the wife of Oscar Grubbs.

Mary Ann Selby is mentioned in petition for the settlement of Elizabeth A. (Shelton) Harper's estate.
