Re: [jacksongenealogy] LOST/FOUND Cemetery Madison County Alabama
- I grew up in the Hazel Green area just north of Meridianville and do not
remember any mention of a cemetery but there could be one. I will try to go
out this weekend and see what I can find.

Subject: [jacksongenealogy] LOST/FOUND Cemetery Madison County Alabama
Last night while talking to someone that lives on Royalty Circle,
Meridianville, Madison County, Alabama he happened to mention the lot next
to him that had an old cemetery or graves on it and that the person that
owns the lot can't build there until something is done with the graves. He
says that someone said that the Indians needed to look at it BUT once
contacted they said that the didn't have the money and I ask about the
Madison County Historical Society and he said that he was told they had been
contacted but they couldn't do anything until the Indians looked at it?????
He said that from the stones he saw the names looked German to him. Since I
was sitting in the back seat I couldn't hear him very well BUT I do hope to
go over and look at it. He says it is really grown up in the summer time
and I am guessing this time of the year would be the best time to check it
out. Has anyone ever heard of this grave/cemetery before?
