      The most likely family for the W. A. White buried near Higdon based on
      Jackson County census and land records is as follows:
      William A. White purchased 119.9 acres on Nove 11, 1898, in Section 27,
      Township 2S, Range 9 East. The men who purchased land closest to him
      were Richard Dunn, Elsa Hill, and James Stone. This is borne out by his
      neighbors from 1900 and 1910 censuses.
