Group Description

This is the Jackson, MI Freecycle group. We cover Jackson/Jackson County and all outlying areas.

The goal of Freecycle is to reduce waste by connecting people who are throwing away goods with others who are seeking them -- furniture, clothing, appliances and all the little things in between.

We do have a few rules to participate in the group.

1) Members are encouraged to try to make an OFFER, even if it's old magazines or boxes from a recent move.
2) Keep it free, legal & appropriate for all ages. No alcohol, tobacco, firearms or prescription drugs. No trading, borrowing or offering to buy.
3) Subject line should start with one of four words:

Offer, Want, Taken (after an Offer) or Received (after a Want). For example:

OFFER: couch (Parma)

WANT: couch

Do not use Pending.
Please include your general location such as “located near the mall” in the subject line. No personal details that don't relate to what you are asking for.
4) NO chit-chat, advice, requests for information or announcing of web links or yahoo mailing lists. Please do not ask for tickets, coupons, codes, etc. No general requests for "food", formula or diapers.
5) One Wanted list per day, except on Wed. Repeat "wants" are limited to once every two weeks.
6) Be realistic. Do you really think you'll get a Hummer or a Wii??

The moderators have the right to delete any Offer or Wanted that they feel is not in the best interest of Jackson Freecycle.
