(US/tx) Two Dallas women dream up vegan bakeshop in Richardson
- [Pegasus News]
RICHARDSON — A "reverie" may be just a daydream, but with a little
luck and enough money, Reverie Bakeshop could become reality.
The company, started by two Dallas women, is a few parts punk rock
rebellion, a few parts environmental consciousness, and all vegan.
It's slated to open in September.
The bakery will produce 100 percent vegan desserts, such as
traditional chocolate chip cookies or elaborate wedding cakes, some
with intricate patterns and vivid colors made with animal-free
components. The menu will emphasize products made from local
ingredients, and owners have verified with concession vendors that
80-95% of the shop's waste will be compostable and/or recyclable. The
storefront will be located at a 1930 N. Coit Road, Suite 140, in
Richardson, in the same shopping center as Richardson Bike Mart.
