Assistant Professor of Spanish (Specialty: Interpreting Studies) University of Louisville
The Department of Classical and Modern Languages at the University of Louisville invites applications from a dedicated professional to teach courses in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, sight translation, and language for special purposes (language pair: Spanish/English). This tenure-track position will begin fall 2013 at the assistant professor rank. Qualifications: A doctorate in interpreting studies or a closely related field, and native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English (third language desirable). Teaching excellence and scholarly promise are essential. The successful candidate may also be asked to assume an administrative role as the department continues to develop a new graduate program in translation and interpreting.
