The Department of languages, linguistics and translation at Laval
University invites applications for a position of professor in
translation, effective August 1, 2009.
Closing date: March 25, 2009
teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels
supervising graduate students and directing essays and theses
developing research projects in the fields of translation,
terminology, and translation studies
participating in the effective provision of translation and
participating in activities at the department, faculty, and
Ph. D. in translation, translation studies, or terminology,
or Ph. D. in a related field with significant professional experience
in specialized translation
Expertise in one or more of the following fields: scientific
translation, medical and pharmaceutical translation, technical and
computer-related translation, legal translation, business translation
Research experience in translation, translation studies, or
terminology, or in a related field
Experience in teaching at the university level
Professional experience in translation is considered an asset.

Does anyone know current procedures for obtaining official recognition for
the Masters degree in Translation Studies from Dublin University?
Apologies for not having fuller details, but I am enquiring on behalf of a
friend who has had problems with Spanish Ministry of Education procedures.
