      The Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures at James Madison University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Translation and Interpreting, to begin August 2014. 

      Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in Translation and Interpretation Studies in Spanish from an accredited U.S. or equivalent non-U.S. institution. Required qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD; ability to teach Spanish to English and English to Spanish courses; proficiency in technology in foreign language teaching. 

      Experience and interest in developing Spanish professional and technical translation and interpretation courses in several fields. Commitment to teach undergraduate and graduate courses; publishing record or scholarlypotential; native or near native fluency in Spanish and English.

      Application review will begin on March 17.
