Gulf of Guinea V, California Academy of Sciences blog on next Sao Tome expedition. Doing it right: Something to Share.

Great credit due to Robert Drewes, who has led all five biodiversity expeditions to Sao Tome and Principe, for moving the model of the expeditions from traditional science field research, to a collaboration and technology sharing with local organizations (private and public) and residents. This blog describes a very nice process going on in one of the WORLD's hottest BIODIVERSITY HOT SPOTS. . . . . and the major Biodiversity support groups ARE NOT THERE, in spite of the fact that STP's government has unilaterally set up about a quarter of the land area as protected area.

The blog linked to above provides information about how individuals can make MEANINGFUL contributions to STP's biodiversity by support for the California Academy's expeditions and significant local non-governmental organizations such as STePup and Zuntabawe.
