      Shadi Alkattan will give a Power Point presentation on the prospects for peace in war-torn Syria. This eyewitness report follows a recent trip to Syria. It will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, in room 1-B of the Monroe County Public Library, Bloomington.
       
      Shadi Alkattan is a Syrian American born in South Bend, Indiana, and a biology student at IVY Tech Community College. In his recent trip to Syria, he saw first hand what was happening in his parents’ home country.
