Rep. Marcy Kaptur Questions Treasury Sec. Tim Geithner
This is a lovely Video to watch:
. Marcy Kaptur, U.S. Representative for Ohio's 9th congressional district, questions Tim Geithner (Current Secretary of the Treasury, and former President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of NY, 2003-09) concerning oversight of government assistance for AIG. Very interesting questions about his banking connections. This could be very educational.
“Patterson worked with the professorial New York senator on the Finance Committee, then leapt to the Democratic leadership staff under Sen. Tom Daschle of South Dakota when Moynihan retired in 2000. Four years later, Patterson took a job in the Washington office of Goldman Sachs, for which he was a registered lobbyist from 2005 until spring of 2008. There, he worked on many of the issues that have come into focus during the financial meltdown, and Geithner had to issue a special waiver of Obama’s anti-lobbyist restrictions for Patterson to join his staff.”
