Earlier this week, by a vote of 8 to 4, members of Indiana's House Judiciary Committee voted in favor of a proposal to amend the state constitution to discriminate against gay and lesbian Hoosiers, House Joint Resolution 6 -- HJR-6.
HJR 6 would define marriage as the union of one man and one woman and likely also would ban the state from offering or recognizing civil unions or domestic partnerships. The amendment is now eligible for consideration by the full House of Representatives.

If you are concerned about the possibility of this please contact your state representative quickly.
